FROM FARO:
Faro airport is the closest airport. 
By car
Faro airport is a 1-hour drive away from Honest Place and there are many rental options at the airport. Feel free to choose your own transportation options. Please keep in mind, a vehicle can come in handy for your transportation around the villages near the house and to explore the beautiful area.

By train
Combiosdo Portugal (CP) has multiple daily train services from Faro to Lagos, with a journey time of 1.5–2 hours.
Timetables and prices are available on the CP website CP - Comboios de Portugal.
From Lagos, there is a bus 4 to Burgau, find the timeshedule on aonda.pt.
By taxi
There are many private transfer / taxi services available from Faro Airport.

FROM LISBON:
By car
From Lisbon Airport, it takes about 3 hours by car to get to Honest Place, as we are located in the south. If you like a scenic view, flying to Lisbon and driving South is a stunning journey. Keep in mind, you have toll routes and non-paying routes (which are stunning, but take longer).
Public transport
By bus
There are daily coach services from Lisbon to Lagos and Burgau, find the most suitable one on Rede Expressos.
By train
Combios do Portugal (CP) has multiple daily train services from Lisbon to Lagos. CP - Comboios de Portugal.
From Lagos, there is a bus 4 to Burgau, find the timeshedule on aonda.pt.
By taxi
There are many private transfer / taxi services available from Lisbon Airport.

The easiest way to get around is by (rental) car or (rental) bike or scooter.

Your vehicle can be parked in our driveway. Please keep in mind, all guests have the possibility to enter and exit safely. If you can’t find a parking spot on the driveway, please park at the end of the road. You will receive park instructions in the guestbook.

To ensure convenience for everyone, please note that check-in is only possible from 4:00 PM onwards, and check-out should be completed by 11:00 AM. Kindly adhere to these timings. Failure to do so may result in an additional fee being charged. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

We try to be as environmentally conscious as we can and therefore do not heat the pool. Our guests have access to the refreshing, non-heated, salt pool from 9am – 8pm. Using the outdoor stairs to access the pool on the first floor. The jacuzzi is out of order due to a defect.

Yes we do, although we must admit, being this remote, it hasn’t been easy to provide you with the strongest connection. So keep in mind, you will have poor internet and 4G connection inside the rooms. If this is inconvenient, please address your host to try and find a workable solution.  

We are not serving breakfast or other meals at the moment, but there is a fully equipped kitchenette for you to use. And you will have access to tea and coffee.

Having a car or bike here is helpful. The closest (small) supermarket is located in Burgau (3-min drive by car) or a beautiful 40 minutes cliff walk away. And a bigger “all day” Intermarché is located just 5 minutes’ drive from the property.

Charlotte is possibly the most pet loving person on the planet. However, for the moment, to respect all our guests, we have decided to not allow our furry friends in the house. In the case of a service animal, please contact your host in advance.

Smoking inside Honest Place is strictly forbidden. This includes the rooms and communal spaces. SMOKING, IS ONLY PERMITTED OUTSIDE THE HOUSE, EXCLUSIVELY WITH THE USE OF AN ASHTRAY. OTHERWISE, THERE IS A HIGH POSSIBILITY OF CAUSING A FIRE THAT GUESTS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR. Please pay attention to our natural surroundings and clean up your cigarette butts.

Starting from October 2023, Honest Place is an adults-only establishment. We provide a peaceful and serene environment specifically tailored for adult guests seeking relaxation and tranquility. Please note that all guests must be 18 years or older to stay at our property. We believe that this policy enhances the overall experience for our adult guests, ensuring a serene and comfortable atmosphere during their stay. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to welcoming you to Honest Place.
